Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou, Rose Valley and Dades Valley
Departing from your accommodation in Marrakech, embark on a scenic journey towards the Dades Valley, traversing the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, marvel at the breathtaking landscapes that unfold before you.
En route, make a stop to explore the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most well-preserved kasbahs in southern Morocco. Delve into its rich history and architectural wonders as you wander through its labyrinthine streets.
After your exploration of Ait Ben Haddou, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant within the kasbah, savoring traditional Moroccan cuisine amidst the historical surroundings.
Continuing your journey, proceed towards the Dades Valley, renowned for its stunning scenery and abundance of kasbahs. As you wind your way through the valley, marvel at the sight of countless kasbahs dotting the landscape, earning it the nickname “the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.”
Arriving at your hotel in the Dades Valley, unwind and enjoy a delightful dinner before retiring for the night, immersed in the tranquility of this picturesque setting.
Day 2: Dades Valley, Todgha Gorge and Merzouga
Begin your day with renewed energy as you set off towards the majestic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Along the way, make a stop to explore the breathtaking Todgha Gorge, known for its towering canyon walls and picturesque scenery.
After your exploration of Todgha Gorge, enjoy a delicious lunch in the town of Tinjadad, where you can savor local flavors and cuisine.
Continuing your journey, arrive at the mesmerizing Sahara Desert dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Here, embark on a memorable camel ride adventure as you traverse the golden sands and soak in the serene beauty of the desert landscape. As the sun begins to set, marvel at the breathtaking sunset painting the sky with vibrant hues.
After your camel ride, make your way to the Berber tent camp nestled amidst the sand dunes. Here, gather around a cozy campfire under the starry desert sky and immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of local Berber musicians.
Indulge in a delicious dinner of traditional Moroccan cuisine served at the camp, before retiring to your comfortable Berber tent for a peaceful night’s sleep amidst the tranquil desert surroundings.
Day 3: Merzouga, Nkoub, Draa Valley, Ouarzazate and Marrakech
After savoring the breathtaking sunrise and a delicious breakfast amidst the serene desert landscape, we will begin our journey back to Marrakech. Our route will take us through the scenic Draa Valley, known for its stunning palm groves and picturesque scenery, as well as the majestic Anti-Atlas Mountains.
During our drive back, we will make regular stops approximately every two hours to allow you to explore interesting places, capture memorable photographs, or simply enjoy a refreshing coffee break. Whether it’s visiting a charming village, admiring panoramic viewpoints, or discovering hidden gems along the way, these stops will enhance your journey and provide opportunities for relaxation and exploration.
As we continue our drive towards Marrakech, you’ll have the chance to reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories created during our desert adventure.
